About MBHT

Documenting

Today's History for Tomorrow.

Making Black History Today is a Black-owned women’s multimedia company dedicated to documenting the people, places, and movements shaping Black history in real time. Through original conversations, event coverage, red carpet interviews, community journalism, newsletters, and digital storytelling, we preserve today's stories for tomorrow's generations.

Founded on Juneteenth 2025 in Dallas, Texas, Making Black History Today was created with a simple belief: history is being made every day by leaders, entrepreneurs, artists, educators, public servants, and everyday people making an extraordinary impact.

Our work goes beyond telling stories. We create a living archive of the voices, ideas, and moments shaping our communities today so they can inspire future generations.

Who We Serve

Making Black History Today connects with an audience of professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, nonprofit leaders, public servants, students, and engaged community members who value authentic storytelling and meaningful conversations. Our audience seeks more than headlines, they seek context, connection, and stories that inspire action.

Why It Matters

History doesn't begin decades after it happens.

It begins the moment someone chooses to lead, create, serve, or challenge what's possible.

Making Black History Today exists to ensure those stories are documented while they're still unfolding, preserving the voices and experiences that will shape tomorrow's history.

Because today's conversations become tomorrow's history.
